Sons of Eden was born out of an ideal marriage - one of us a viticulturist the other a winemaker, we had both cut our teeth in the rolling vineyards and historic cellars of Eden Valley.
Our philosophy is simply to produce world-class wines. We are committed to capturing the flavour and personality from Barossa vineyards which each have a unique story to tell and we seek out sites where we can access the very best fruit grown in optimum conditions.
Our Riesling is picked from vineyards high in the Eden Valley where the cool weather and kind rainfall produce sublime wines of texture and length. On the other hand many of our Shiraz, Mourvedre and Grenache vineyards are on the Barossa Valley floor where deep soils and warm summer temperatures ensure vibrant colours and perfect ripeness.
We nurture our wines rather than make them, hand harvesting, sorting and selecting the healthiest bunches, allowing them to express their natural potential.
To us the real craft of winemaking comes in recognising when nature needs a little hand, understanding what to do to ensure wine quality is optimised not compromised - and of course knowing when to stand back and let this ancient mystery just take its course.
