The inspiration from the Barossa’s best old vine Grenache vineyards created Annexus, an addition to our Plexus blend. Annexus is a small unique blend selected from our best old, low yielding Grenache vineyards, made only in the best Grenache years.
This time-honoured blend is our offering to Zephyrus, Greek God of the West Wind, who is often depicted as a horse due to the speed attributed to this majestic animal. The vineyards of the Greater Barossa are regularly buffeted by cooling Westerly winds creating an ideal temperature range in which to slowly ripen.
Planted in 1941 these deep rooted vines provide Grenache of exceptional quality. Minimal intervention in the vineyard makes for an amazingly charasmatic wine.
This is a wine for lovers of beautifully mature Barossa Shiraz wines.
Sourced from a 90+ yo Bush Vine vineyard in the Barossa sub-region of Lights Pass.
The 2016 Spinifex Pinot Noir is sourced from a single vineyard nestled high in the Barossa Ranges, just beneath the famed Steingarten Vineyard. Fermented as whole clusters with indigenous yeast and matured sur lie for 10 months prior to being bottled it displays all the classic hallmarks of the great Pinot grape, an alluring fragrance and a fine supple palate.
