From crisp dry Rosés to Shiraz with some serious structure and all the delights of Grenache inbetween.
The range of reds available shows the full spectrum of styles available here at Artisans of Barossa.
The Cabernet that is grown in this vineyard - Boongarrie - is renowned for its intense blood red colour and flavour concentration. There’s plenty of cassis and dark chocolate on the palate with a touch of cedar and fine, grainy tannins. The finish is long and smooth. 2017 was a benchmark vintage for Eden Valley Cabernet, and this wine is a great example of how well this variety is suited to the region
Grenache from Pete Schell is always distinctive! His talent with the varioety is truly sensational. This bright youthful Grenache will be sure to please.
Barossa winemakers have developed a strong affinity for all things Spain and as expected our Artisans have been at the Vanguard of experimentation with these emerging varieties.
Twelve Barossa vineyards were the source for 2016 Bete Noir Shiraz. Vineyard age ranges from between 25 and 130 years, with 60 years being a fair average across the blend. Vineyards are located across a variety of the Barossa’s sub regions, the Eastern Foothills, Moppa, Moculta, and Eden Valley all contributing.
Medium to full bodied Western Ridge Shiraz. Very strongly red fruit orientated with classy fine grain tannins.
What better resume than a 130 year old vineyard, planted and owned by the one family and is just 400 vines big. Unctious, bold, gorgeously soft tannins and a complex melody of bakery spices.
This is a wine for lovers of beautifully mature Barossa Shiraz wines.
