2019 Colours of the South Pinot Gris
Sourced from a single vineyard at Lenswood in the Adelaide Hills, the Pinot Gris was hand-picked and whole bunch pressed, with a small parcel transferred to older French oak to undergo indigenous yeast ferment with the balance fermented in stainless steel. Both the tank and barrels were lees stirred on a regular basis to build mouthfeel and complexity.
Bright in colour, with vibrant tropical, fresh pear, rockmelon and hints of snow pea aromas that jump out of the glass. The palate is textural with floral, tropical and musk fruit flavours that carry through from the nose, with natural acidity that adds liveliness and balance.
