Each 6 pack of our new releases from Greg and Ali Hobbs contains:
2 x 2016 Tin Lids Aria Secca Shiraz ($60.00ea)
Aria Secca’ is an Italian term, meaning ‘air dried, and refers to the 7-10 days the harvested grapes lie on drying racks at the winery to further concentrate the flavours of Shiraz from a 100+ year old vineyard.
2 x 2016 Tin Lids Shiraz Cabernet ($60.00ea)
An Eden Valley expression of the classic Australian red blend, bringing together Shiraz from the Hobb’s vineyard at Flaxman Valley and Cabernet Sauvignon from Phil and Sarah Lehmann’s Boongarie Estate on the Keyneton to Eden Valley Road.
1 x 2015 Gregor Shiraz ($155)
Greg and Ali have for a long time loved the amarone wines of North Eastern Italy. Gregor is a bold, structured, intense and rich Shiraz. Fruit is air dried for 12-14 days before being crushed and the allowed to naturally ferment. 2 years in large format brand new French oak completes maturation. Gregor is without doubt built to last over 15 years.
1 X 2015 ‘1905’ Shiraz ($155)
These vines are the oldest on Greg and Ali’s property and showcase beautiful high-country Shiraz. A delicious aroma of white pepper, finely ground mace, all spice and clove sets up a palate of complex black currant & dark plum and long lingering soft tannins. Like Gregor, this wine will last for many, many years.
