2018 Colours of the South Barossa Valley Rosso (rrp$30)
Vibrant colour, aromas of cherry, rose, herbs, orange skin and sweet spice resembling red wine-based vermouth. A crunchy lively palate showing elements of each variety, the Montepulciano adding the red fruit notes, Negroamaro adding citrus and the spice element with Aglianico giving floral, herbs and the fine tannin and natural acid.
2016 Purple Hands Montepulciano (rrp$35)
Bright crimson colour leads to aromas that bound from the glass, sweet red blackberries and cream dominate with a complex savoury note that seems to appear in this variety no matter what we do. The palate is an enjoyable mix of sweet fruit, firm tannin and minerality that delights the tongue with the natural acidity assisting with length.
2017 Barossa Valley Aglianico (rrp$35)
Vibrant colour leads to a nose of interesting aromas of red liquorice, dried rose petals and blackcurrant with mineral and herbal hints adding the complexity. Sweet fruit shows itself immediately on the palate but is followed by long fine fruit tannins that just keep going with natural acidity aiding the fantastic length on this wine.
