Each six-pack contains two bottles each of:
2017 ‘Kennedy’ Grenache Shiraz Mourvédre (rrp $35)
Grenache sourced from 50 – 100-year-old vineyards at Light Pass, Nuriootpa and Rowland Flat takes the lead and set the tone for this delicious wine, bringing a big burst of juicy, ripe red fruit and spice flavours. Shiraz produces a rounded and fleshy mid-palate, and Mourvédre (Mataro) a salivating line of savoury tannin and fragrant 5 spice on the nose. A tribute to longtime grower Leo ‘Joe’ Kennedy.
2017 ‘Pumpa’ Eden Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz (rrp $35)
A blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Shiraz from a stellar Eden Valley vintage. It’s wines like this that will have more people flocking to the Eden Valley Cabernet, which dominates the blend with plenty of lifted dark-cherry, blackcurrant and wild-herbs on the nose. The palate is rich, juicy with ripe chewy tannins, finishing with a lovely freshness. A dose of Shiraz brings roundness and flesh to the mid-palate. Named as a tribute to Len Pumpa and his fellow Eden Valley growers who pioneered and persisted in one of Australia’s most challenging but rewarding viticultural regions.
2017 ‘Marschall’ Barossa Valley Shiraz (rrp $35)
A gold medal at the Winewise Small Vignerons Awards and 94 points from Halliday speaks volumes of the exceptional quality of this Shiraz. Sourced from vineyards up to 60 years old located in the central and northern parts of the Barossa Valley, the wine is garnet in colour and bounces out of the glass with ripe blueberry and red liquorice aromas. The palate is fresh, juicy and alive with dark berried fruits, finishing with a textured savoury edge. Named after David Marschall - a man of many talents and in conjunction with growing exceptional fruit was a revered martial artist, actor and demolition expert. His legacy lives on through his vineyards within the Tanunda and Ebenezer districts, which make up the backbone of this wine.
