Ensconced in the scenic embrace of Australia's famed Barossa Valley, Artisans of Barossa stands as a testament to the collaborative spirit of eight family-owned wine producers. This unique collaboration, born out of a shared commitment to protect and promote the art of small-batch Barossa winemaking, has evolved into a destination that is much more than a winery. It is a celebration of wine, food, and community wrapped in the breathtaking beauty of the Barossa.

The Origin Story: A Collective Vision

The journey of Artisans of Barossa began in the early 2000s when six young wine producers, passionate about their craft and the story of Barossa, banded together. Their goal was to build their businesses and develop the narrative of Barossa's wine culture. Through collaboration at trade and wine-tasting events, they laid the foundation for a partnership that would redefine their approach to winemaking and hospitality.

Fast-forward to 2021. The group, now comprising John Duval Wines, Spinifex Wines, Sons of Eden, Lienert Vineyards, Schwarz Wine Co., Purple Hands Wines, Hobbs of Barossa Ranges and Chaffey Bros. Wine Co., are the Artisans of Barossa, a name that reflects their dedication to the craft of winemaking. Opening their cellar door and tasting room in Tanunda was a milestone, offering a space for wine lovers to explore and enjoy the unique expressions of Barossa wine.
