Schwarz Wine Co.
Jason Schwarz's wines taste of the vineyards where the grapes are grown. And he's got a good eye for finding great vineyards...both Jason's father and grandfather were state pruning champions, he grew up among the vines on the family property at Bethany and he's worked along side some of the Barossa's best known grape growers and winemakers. A shed load of experience has taught him that once you find great fruit you look after it with a light touch. "I like to let the fruit speak for itself", Jason says.
Bursting with pure red fruit energy! If ever a wine was vivacious this would it!
Perfectly pretty pink rose. Welcome fragrance of soft red fruits give an illusion of sweetness. This is dry Rose that satisfies!
Schwarz Wine Co. Chenin Blanc is bright, fresh, laden with troppical aromatrics and delivered with crunchy acidity. A wine to enjoy now, not deliberate over. Chill, pour and relax!
Ahhh Mataro - sometimes left behind and then all the more rightly enjoyed by those who seek it out. Get behind this mid-palate weight red with broad tannin, earthy and meaty undertones. Enjoy with cold weather and braised anything!
An extremely versatile red. Soft tannin, plenty of spice and delicious bramble and plum fruits. BBQ -yes, pizza - yes, Thursday - yes. Make sure this bulletproof wine is in your selection.
A bright red-fruited shiraz with more! Elements of earthy beetroot combine with spices and a gentle fleshiness. A truly generous shiraz!
Very last bottles of this uber-cool Grenache from Jason Schwarz!
Meta Shiraz is a great divergance from the traditional full throtle Barossan Shiraz. It's juicy, medium bodied and lighter in pallet weight and very very drinkable!
Planted in 1941 these deep rooted vines provide Grenache of exceptional quality. Minimal intervention in the vineyard makes for an amazingly charasmatic wine.
What better resume than a 130 year old vineyard, planted and owned by the one family and is just 400 vines big. Unctious, bold, gorgeously soft tannins and a complex melody of bakery spices.
When Jason tasted his 2016 vintage reds, it was immediately clear that one particular barrel of Shiraz stood out above all others, and deserved to be bottled as a ‘Single Barrel’ release. The wine was produced from Shiraz grown by Ken Loveday in his vineyard at Moppa in the Barossa’s north western corner, and just 390 bottles were produced, making this an exceptionally rare release.
